Vieanna’s calling and we are coming. Especially when such nice people as our friends of [d]-vision are calling us we don’t need to think twice to follow their call.

We feel honoured that we have the honour to give a presentation about demoparties. Because if there is anything in the world that we are good at then it is (demo)-partying.

We hope that you come by when you are around to enjoy an evening of old demoparty and tradefair footage, invitation intros, stories about democompetitions and ofcourse the latest news of the Intel Demo Competition.

You should also check out the info that [d]-vision has prepared.

Daniel Pohl, working at Intel as a Research Scientist currently works on Raytracing. I guess you have heard of this technology. If not, here is a big explanation of the technology that will bring graphics to a next level.

Daniel gave an update about his work at the Games Developer Conference 2008. An interview with him is now available at PC Games Hardware.

At GDC, Daniel showed off an UMPC with Raytracing. You can read more about this at the Intel Blog in a post from Jeffrey Howard. The technology is really impressive especially that it now even runs on a pocket PC…

What do you think?

Finaly - Intel Demo Competition 2008 is about to start! We from Digitale Kultur e.V. are looking forward to the upcoming productions. We’ve got five top teams in this year’s competition, including Fairlight, the winning team of the very first Intel Demo Competition back in 2006. Since back then the contest has grown up to be a competition notorious for good releases and where some of the best demo groups are participating. This year it’s really a stiff competition with Fairlight, mfx, Cocoon and Inque releasing new productions and challenging last year’s winner Still.
Let’s see, what the teams have to offer!
